Prof. Deva Priyakumar received the Chemical Research Society of India (CRSI) Bronze Medal from the president of CSRI at the 27th CRSI National Symposium in Chemistry organized by Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Kolkata from 26 – 30 September. He received this award for his significant contributions in computational chemistry to study reaction mechanisms and biological interactions.
Dr. Ashok Kumar Das is in the 10,000 Club of Google Scholar Citations. His Google Scholar h-index is 59 and i10-index is 171 with over 10,000 citations. Dr. Das has also been included in the top 2% of scientists world-wide in all fields and in the area of Networking & Telecommunications he has been ranked 321 in the world subject area for the year 2021. The ranking is based on an independent study done by the Stanford University, USA.
Dr. Nimmi Rangaswamy has been invited to join the Editorial Board of the journal Communication, Culture and Critique. Published by the International Communication Association (ICA) and Oxford University Press, Communication, Culture and Critique (CCC) is devoted to critical scholarship on communication, media, and cultural studies.
Dr. P Pravin Kumar Venkat Rao’s research proposal on the topic Seismic Retrofitting for Historic and Contemporary Masonry Buildings using Textile Reinforced Mortar Composites: An Alternate to FRP was awarded a Startup Research Grant (SRG) by the Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), Government of India.

The principal investigator of this project is Dr. Abhishek Srivastava and co-principal investigators are Dr. Anshu Sarje, Dr. Kavita Vemuri and Prof. Bapi Raju.
Research paper on Design and Implementation of 0.23 nJ/bit Reference-Spur-Free FSK/OOK Transmitter at 400 MHz for Wearable Health Monitoring by Dr. Abhishek Srivastava, Dr. Devarshi Das, IIT Ropar and Dr. M Shojaei Baghini, IIT Bombay has been selected as one of the top contributions at IEEE Biomedical Circuits and Systems Conference (BioCAS-2021) held in Berlin, Germany from 6 – 9 October. The authors have been invited to submit this paper in a special edition of IEEE Transactions on Biomedical Circuits and Systems (TBioCAS). The selection of paper as one of the top contributions is usually equivalent to the Best Paper Award. The authors were not allowed to participate in the best paper award category as all the authors were professors.
In a survey conducted by DataQuest Best T-School, IIIT Hyderabad has been ranked third at All India Level and has been ranked second in the South zone. The survey focussed on UG programs offered at Higher education institutions and technical institutions. The methodology consists of 48 attributes grouped into 6 sections based on 4 parameters – PACE: (i) Placements – 30% (ii) Academic & research – 30% (iii) Campus infrastructure – 15% (iv) Engagement and Outreach etc. – 25%.
