Dr. Ashok Kumar Das has been included in the list of Web of Science (Clarivate™) Highly Cited Researcher 2022 in recognition for his exceptional research performance demonstrated by production of multiple highly cited papers that rank in the top 1% for field and year.
Dr. Pawan Kumar was awarded the Qualcomm Faculty award-2022 in March.
Prof. Pradeep Kumar Ramancharla is the new Director of Central Building Research Institute (CBRI) at Roorkee.

Dr. Vineet Gandhi was adjudged as an outstanding reviewer at the 39th International Conference on Machine Learning (ICML-2022) held at Baltimore, Maryland from 17 – 23 July.
Dr. Ravi Kiran Sarvadevabhatla was awarded an unrestricted research gift from Google, as part of its growing efforts to support excellent research in academia. Google has awarded the International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad an unrestricted gift money which will support follow-up research of Dr. Ravi Kiran Sarvadevabhatla in collaboration with Pradeep Shenoy, Google Research on multi-object multi-part segmentation and visual scene understanding.
Dr. Vineet Gandhi, Center for Visual Information Technology (CVIT), was awarded Best Paper Award for his paper Capturing and Indexing Rehearsals: The Design and Usage of a Digital Archive of Performing Arts at Digital Heritage, 2015 in Granada, Spain.
Aniket Singh (PhD student) under the supervision of Dr. Anoop Namboodiri, Center for Visual Information Technology (CVIT), was awarded Best Paper Award for their paper Laplacin Pyramids for Deep Feature Inversion at 3rd IAPR Asian Conference on Pattern Recognition (ACPR 2015) in  Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Sunil Kumar Maddigatla (Master of Science student) and Dr. Srivatsava Jandhyala, Center for VLSI and Embedded Systems Technology (CVEST), were awarded Best Paper Award for their paper An Accurate CMOS Integrated Temperature Sensor for IOT Applications at IEEE Computer Society Annual Symposium on VLSI (ISVLSI), Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, USA.
Sumit Gautam (Master of Science student) under the supervision of Dr. P. Ubaidulla, Signal Processing and Communication Research Center (SPCRC), was awarded Best Paper Award for their paper Simultaneous Transmission of Information and Energy in OFDM Systems at Proc. IEEE Wireless Personal Multimedia Communications (WPMC2015).
Prof. Nand Kishore Acharya, Center of Exact Humanities (CEH) was awarded the prestigious Kendriya Sangeet Natak Academy Award for his contribution to playwriting. 
Prof. P. Krishna Reddy, Center for Data Engineering (CDE), has been appointed as a member of the sub-group of the task force on the use of technology in IT/ ICT in insurance by NITI Aayog.
Prof. C. V. Jawahar, Center for Visual Information Technology (CVIT)
    – appointed as Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence (PAMI).
    – elected as an Outstanding Reviewer for the prestigious conference on Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition (CVPR).
G. Drushti Apoorva and Prof. Radhika Mamidi, Natural Language Processing – Machine Translation (NLP-MT) won the best student paper award for their paper – BolLy: Annotation of Sentiment Polarity in Bollywood Lyrics Dataset at the 15th International Conference of the Pacific Association for Computational Linguistics (PACLING), in Myanmar during 16 – 18 August.
Dr. Ashok Kumar Das, Center for Security, Theory & Algorithmic Research CSTAR), was appointed as an Editor for the KSII Transactionson Internet and Information Systems.
Sneha Jain, Master of Science student from Building Science Research Centre  (BSRC) received a Building Energy Efficiency Higher & Advanced Network (BHAVAN) Award 2018 from the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India and the Indo-US Science and Technology Forum (IUSSTF).
