JRF application is invited under the DST-CSRI project entitled “360 degree User Interface Design: Spatial Understanding” at the Cognitive Science Lab, IIIT – Hyderabad for tenure of 3 years (2016–2019). Selected candidate would be expected to join PhD in Cognitive Science at IIIT-Hyderabad.
Candidates interested in applied cognition, specifically cognitive psychology and human factors, are highly encouraged to apply for the position. The project aims to evaluate the impact of 2D 3600 visual interface on constructing spatial representation by employing virtual environment.
Minimum Qualification: GATE in Engg. Discipline (preferably CS in IT) / NET or JRF in Psychology or related disciplines.
Desirable experience: Candidate should have programming skills. Working experience with game engines, such as Unity, would be highly preferable. Experience with conducting and designing experiments on platforms like Eprime and/or MATLAB is appreciable. Also, proficiency in data analysis using SPSS, STATS, or R will be desirable.
Salary: As per DST-JRF guidelines, Fellowship Rs. 25,000/- per month + HRA
Duration of Appointment: 1 Year with a performance based renewal up to the period of project.
